Open for All Online

We invite you to learn about interacting with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities through interactive engagement, participation, and real-life immersion.

Open for All Online is an asynchronous, self-paced course composed of five modules plus an orientation and conclusion.
  • Module 1: Welcoming Culture
  • Module 2: Creative Communication
  • Module 3: Individual Appreciation
  • Module 4: Purposeful Positivity
  • Module 5: Life Long Learning
Target audience: Individuals interested in learning practical skills to apply in their professional or personal life.
Pre-requisite: Basic knowledge about human development and disabilities.
Time commitment: It is estimated the course takes 25-30 hours to complete, not including the immersion experience, which is a critical component of the course. You will choose the amount of time to spend in the immersion experience.
Credit/Certification: This course is all about YOUR learning, so you are in charge. Regardless of how much time you spend in the course, we will provide you with a "certificate of completion" at the end.
