Building a Vibrant Club
4-H Clubs are all about youth having fun, making friends, discovering one’s voice, and learning to work with others. 4-H members will come to club meetings when their four needs are being met: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity.
This publication helps club leaders build a vibrant club experience for their members using a building-block concept. The elements of a vibrant club (welcome, recreation, education, and a business meeting) all contribute to one or more of the basic needs.
Previously known as 4H 4004B.

Project Area or Exhibit?
What is the difference between a 4-H project and a 4-H exhibit? Each year, 4-H members enroll in project areas that interest them. They set goals to plan what they will learn in each project area. When they bring things to fair to show what they learned, these are called exhibits.
This publication gives examples of ways you can explore project area learning as a 4-H member, and ways that you can participate in sharing what you have learned through exhibiting opportunities.
